Working on becoming better house wife

Like it says I clean,  but I don’t have a schedule.  I need to get better at it.  With hubby working overnights, it’s hard to do certain things while he is sleeping.  Our dishwasher is loud and can hear it outside,  can’t vacuum.  Just frustrated that I feel like I can’t,  won’t become a better housekeeper.  Maybe it’s all in my head.  Oh well I will let these feelings pass.

  1. 🙂 That’s what you gotta do; just find a schedule! For me, I clean a little every day, then it’s not overwhelming. I take one day a week to do a deeper clean, like toilets and dusting and bath tubs, etc. The under the toilet kind of cleaner, not the little thingy you attach, but the kind that comes in the bottle with the “goose” neck, you squeeze it under the lip, let it sit for at least 15 minutes, finish cleaning the rest of the bathroom, then when you flush! Bam! It’s all clean. i do this at least once a week, and I don’t even have to scrub the bowl! If you keep laundry and dishes done on an every other day, or every 3 day basis, and pick up daily…Your cleaning won’t seem so overwhelming! I know I used to take Saturday mornings, for about an hour, and vacuum the ENTIRE house, dust everything, and clean the kitchen. The bathrooms I’d do on like Thursday night, and then other than that; I totally reserved the weekend for some sort of fun time…Makes a huge difference when it doesn’t seem like it takes an entire day to clean! 🙂

  2. I agree with Cooper’s mommy. Try to do a little at a time and then your not overwhelmed. Plus keep your weekends free for the fun! It me some time to realise it but the house can wait, kids can’t. They’ll be grown before you know it. Ask yourself what’s more important laying on blanket in the backyard looking for shapes in the clouds or making sure the house looks good?
